Montessori Pedagogy

Montessori pedagogy is an educational method based on respect individual competences and skills of each childOne of its main goals is to enable children to develop in their at your own pace. Montessori pedagogy is the trust in reaching full maturity through this path. child's independence. In the Bilingual Kindergarten we base ourselves on this concept.

Montessori pedagogy is an everyday occurrence in our kindergarten

In our kindergarten we implement and develop the concept of Maria Montessori every day. We try give children the opportunity for comprehensive development: physical, cultural and social. We support their spontaneous and creative activity. We help in developing individual personality traits, in forming the right character, acquiring knowledge, skills and cooperation in a group.

Bilingual – we focus on the individual development of the child

Montessori pedagogy focuses on the individual abilities and interests of the child. Teachers try to create the best possible conditions so that each child can play, learn, work and develop skills freely and according to their own choice.

Our goal is to recognize the child's predispositions and passions and help deepen and expand them. We focus on the individual development of the child, rejecting the obligation to equalize the level of knowledge and skills in a group of peers.

We approach child development holistically. This means that teachers support children in their independent learning and understanding of the world around them, rather than educators who instill in children predetermined doses of theory. Children dictate their own pace of acquiring knowledge, choose the aids they want to work with, and set the directions in which they want to develop.

What is important to us?

  • Learning by doing: children acquire knowledge and practical skills through their own
activity, in a well-thought-out pedagogical environment, in cooperation with
    teachers.
  • Independence:
children freely choose the type, place, time and form of work (individual
or with a partner) while observing social rules. They develop individual
talents and learn to realistically assess their skills. For example, children
They prepare simple meals themselves, e.g. sandwiches.
  • Concentration:
children practice accuracy and perseverance when performing specific tasks.
  • Lessons in silence:
children learn to cooperate with each other during individual and group "quiet classes"
    group.
  • Order:
children acquire the ability to observe the rules of order in their surroundings and in their own
action. All materials are easily accessible, organized thematically
so that the child can reach it without any problem.
  • Social rules: children of different ages are grouped together, which helps to broaden
knowledge and skills. Children learn to follow the rules: do not hurt, do not destroy,
    do not disturb.
  • Observation:
is the key for adults to get to know the child's world. A teacher with respect and
carefully observes the child’s progress and difficulties and serves as his guide.
  • Individual development path: the child is warmly welcomed by the teacher, he/she gets his/her attention
and individual care. Works at your own pace and capabilities, taking
tasks for which it is already ready.
